DISCIPLE-MAKING MOVEMENTS TAKING ROOT IN THE NORTHERN PROVINCE OF RWANDA.

For His Glory Ministries launched a Training for Trainers (T4T) Disciple-making movement in February 2024 and conducted T4T post-festival training in city of Gisenyi, Rubavu District, Rwanda.

At the end of the second day of the training in October 2024, we (the Africa team) raised an idea of taking T4T disciple-making in the Primary and High schools since that’s one of the areas in the country that is packed with so many schools and with so many students from other districts of the country.

The church leaders highly welcomed they introduced to us one of the trainees by the name Denys Bimenyimana who is an evangelist that has already been trying to ask for the permission to take the Gospel in the schools of Gisenyi.

We talked with him and shared some ideas with him on how they can take the Gospel in those schools and start disciple-making groups in them.

For the past three months, led by Evangelist Denys, T4T has been established in 9 Primary and 12 High Schools! Disciple-making groups are giving birth to other groups and disciples are making others disciples not only in those schools but also in the areas where those students come from.

Under the leadership of Evangelist Denys, 781 T4T Disciple making groups are in operation and those young men and women are reaching so many souls for Christ.

Over 7,457 students are participating in the disciple-making movement in the city of Gisenyi and its outskirts.

Another benefit of the disciple-making movements in schools is that most of students come from different districts around the country so T4T discipleship is spreading.

Students are being trained on how they can take the T4T model to their home sectors and streets under the leadership of their church pastors.

We have been working closely with the group leaders on conference calls on how they will be able to share the vision of the T4T model with their pastor and clearly explain to them how God has provided T4T as an effective tool to grow their churches.

Denys and T4T groups under his leadership don’t only focus on schools; they also reach other areas for Christ and lead so many souls to Him. They reach soccer teams and mainly different youth groups.
