For His Glory is on Mission to Reach the People of Uganda for Christ
We believe that the Lord has called For His Glory to minister to the local churches in Gulu, Uganda, February 27 – March 10, 2026. This will launch a disciple-making movement that will reach the nation of Uganda for Christ.
Gulu is a city in northern Uganda, which is home to over 233,000 people, according to the Uganda Bureau of Labor Statistics. It is also reported that the population of Gulu District is approximately 390,000.
According to Operation World the nation of Uganda is still recovering from the horrible loss of life during Amin’s dictatorship, from other violent factions, and from the AIDS epidemic. Some estimates are as high as 2 million people perishing as a result.
Operation World goes on to write that a major problem for the Church in Uganda is the superficiality of the Christian message and the lack of church leadership. The churches in Uganda desperately need effective discipleship training if they are to grow and thrive.
For His Glory has been equipped by the Lord to help the church leaders in Uganda deepen their discipleship training so that their congregations will have a greater impact in their communities.
In the nearby city of Kampala, Uganda, where a Training for Trainers (T4T) disciple-making movement was launched in July of 2025 we are seeing over 11 thousand people receiving Christ per month!
We have also received reports that there are already 67,385 disciples in 7,803 discipleship groups in Kampala! Therefore, we are expecting similar results from our upcoming mission in Gulu.
For His Glory’s East Africa team is currently working with the church leaders in Gulu, Uganda, to launch a disciple-making movement across this city and region that will eventually transform them for Christ.
For His Glory will conduct a 5-day festival in Gulu, Uganda, March 4 through March 8, 2026, which will provide the launching pad for the subsequent transformational movement of disciple makers.
