Flooding Can’t Stop Our
Mission to Uvira, DR Congo
Samuel is Training Church Leaders in Uvira, DR Congo
Flooding Can’t Stop Our Mission to Uvira, DR Congo:
The Lord has called For His Glory to bring hope to the people of Uvira, DR Congo, August 3 through 13, 2024
Samual Ongondo, For His Glory’s Africa Director for Training and Barnabas Muzusangabo our National Director for the DR Congo reported that they had a great advance mission June 9 through 15, 2024.
The purpose for this advance mission was to prepare the church leaders for the huge influx of people coming into God’s Kingdom during the coming festival August 7 to 11, 2024 and for the launch of a Training for Trainers (T4T) disciple-making movement that will transform the city and nation for Christ!
Samuel mentioned that a lot was achieved during this preparatory mission, such as three major denominations coming together for this mission, which helps ensure that we will see a massive Kingdom impact through the festival and T4T launch.
It was also reported that on Monday June 10th they had a pastors’ vision casting and planning meeting that was attended by 462 pastors and church leaders. These leaders agreed to mobilize as many of the pastors and church members in the community as possible for the launch of T4T.
We expect that over 100,000 people will receive Jesus during the festival and that within six months of the launch of T4T we will see many thousands per month coming to Christ through the disciple-making movement there!
