Over 111,400 People Receive Christ as Huge Crowds Gather to Hear the Gospel in the Congo:

For His Glory’s team answered the Lord’s call to bring hope to the people of Uvira, DR Congo, August 3 through 13, 2024.

Samual Ongondo, For His Glory’s Africa Director for Training, and Barnabas Muzusangabo, our National Director for the DR Congo, led this mission to Uvira, DR Congo where 111,411 decision cards were collected.

Our mission team trained church leaders from over 500 churches on how to gather the huge influx of people coming to Christ at festival, which was held August 7 to 11, 2024, into small discipleship groups across the city.

The local leaders are confident that a Training for Trainers (T4T) disciple-making movement has been launched in the city of Uvira DR Congo that will lead to true transformation in this city for Christ!

The Lord exceeded our expectation as we broke through our goal 100,000 people receiving Jesus during the festival. Even more exciting is how open the churches are to T4T, which leads us to believe that within six months we will see ten thousand people per month coming to Christ through the disciple-making movement there!
